Opening of the First International Conference Titled "Education, Pedagogy, and Curricula" at the College of Education – University of Zakho

With the participation of a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and honored guests, the College of Education at the University of Zakho inaugurated its First International Conference, titled "Education, Pedagogy, and Curricula," on Tuesday, April 29, 2024.

The opening ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Dr. Amir Abdulrahman, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Gohdar Shekho, Supervisor of Zakho Independent Administration, under the supervision of Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Said Halo, President of the University of Zakho, and chaired by Dr. Sattar Jabbar Haji, President of the Conference/ Dean of college of education . The event also witnessed the attendance of a large number of professors, researchers, and students.

The conference began with welcoming remarks delivered by the University President, the Conference Chair, the Head of the Scientific Committee, and the Representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. These speeches highlighted the importance of this academic event in supporting scholarly research and advancing educational practices.

In the second part of the opening program, a plenary session was held, featuring keynote speeches by distinguished international speakers from participating countries. These contributions addressed contemporary issues in the fields of education, pedagogy, and curriculum development.

During the evening, four parallel academic sessions were conducted, during which researchers presented summaries of their studies and findings, covering various topics aligned with the conference themes.

The conference is scheduled to continue over the course of two days, during which eight specialized academic sessions will be held, addressing current educational topics that contribute to enriching academic thought and enhancing teaching practices.
